Confounded by grammar, V.P. Harris challenged with math, too

Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a word-salad answer to a liberal journalist who quizzed her about illegal aliens crossing into the U.S., and an immigration watchdog says she deserves to be mocked for her nonsensical defense.

On the “Meet the Press” show Sunday morning, Harris declared – twice – that the U.S.-Mexico border is “secure” despite thousands of illegals walking into the U.S. every day.

“Would you call the border secure?” show host Chuck Todd gently asked.

"The border is secure," she replied, "but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed."

Todd, to his credit, couldn’t let that non-answer answer go considering the statistics in front of him.

"We're going to have two million people cross this border for the first time ever,” he pointed out. “You're confident this border's secure?"

"We have a secure border,” Harris replied, “in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours and our administration."

A secure border is, in fact, not a priority of the Biden administration, which proudly reversed policies implemented by the Trump administration, which it called "xenophobic" and "hateful."

“Perhaps she believes that the earth is flat and the sun will rise in the west tomorrow,” Ira Mehlman, of the Federation for Immigration Reform, comments, “but that doesn't make it so.”

The porous border is disaster, he adds, "and it's a disaster of the Biden administration's making."
