Prove Me Wrong is something that was started by Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA (TPUSA).
Since Kirk's assassination, Turek has been one of several public figures appearing at various stops along the way.
Kirk and Turek shared a special relationship. Turek was a mentor, someone to whom Kirk had reached out years prior to discuss Christian apologetics. He was standing nearby when Kirk was shot.
"Erika said this show is going to go on and it should," Turek told American Family Radio (AFR)'s ‘Today's Issues’ program. "We're not going to let evil derail good. So, we're going to all these universities, continuing that."
Turek's upcoming stops include the University of Georgia today.
"I'll be at University of Alabama on the 13th of November," said Turek. "Before that, I'll be at U.C. Berkeley on November 10th for a TPUSA event."
The events do not charge students anything. However, the events have been remade since the assassination. There’s more security for tour participants, and costs have tripled.
"Since Charlie, we've had to hire a private security, not just for my safety, but for the safety of the audience," said Turek. "It used to cost us about $5,000 to go to a campus with airfare, the hotels, the transportation, paying the guy that does all the video for us. Now it's $15,000. So, every place, every college we go to is an extra $15,000. So, if you want to help us just go to CrossExamined.org, click on donate and it's all there."
