Everything that's wrong with medical education can be found at UCLA

A Christian bioethicist isn't surprised that a renowned medical school is requiring its future doctors to become climate and social justice activists.

First-year students at the UCLA medical school are reportedly assigned readings in the required course, Structural Racism and Health Equity "SRHE," which pushes far-left views supporting protesting climate change and abolishing police and prisons.

According to a current student, far-left politics actually pervade every class in the program, and there is no room for pushback.

Barrows, Dr. Jeffrey (CMDA) Barrows

"You have two years to learn anatomy, physiology -- all the various, basic medical sciences," notes Dr. Jeff Barrows of the Christian Medical Association. "When you start putting in ideology, something like DEI, my question is what are you taking out, or what are you compressing down out of those important, basic medical sciences?"

He says the students who are conservative or Christian and oppose this indoctrination have very few options.

"As a medical student, you're the lowest person on the totem pole," Dr. Barrows notes. "You recognize that if you don't agree, you'll be sidelined. There are lots of different ways that you can kind of be excluded from the group."

Dr. Stanley Goldfarb of Do No Harm, a national association of medical professionals combating the attack on the healthcare system from woke activists, recently told Fox News Digital that "social justice and health equity encompasses all that is wrong in 21st-century medical education in United States."
