Prolonged public health 'emergency' is about votes, says Brase

Since President Biden has declared that the pandemic is over, an advocate for health freedom has a request.

Twila Brase, RN and president/co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom (CCHF), says it is time to end all the declarations.

"The public health declaration, the national emergency declaration – all of those should be lifted," she tells AFN.

In a recent "60 Minutes" interview at the Detroit Auto Show – the first in three years – Biden told reporter Scott Pelley, "The pandemic is over."

"We still have a problem with COVID; we are still doing a lot of work on it, but the pandemic is over," said the president. "If you notice, no one's wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape, and so I think it's changing, and I think this a perfect example of it."

Brase agrees and reiterates that all of the spending and emergency use authorizations should be declared null and void. However, she does not see that happening at present.

"The president knows the pandemic is over, but he wants to have the freedom to continue all the government spending he wants to do under the declaration," she says. "This is, I believe, about votes in the mid-term elections."

She notes the possibility that Biden telling the truth in the interview may have been a slip-up, "but he did tell the truth, and therefore, all of those programs … should be lifted," she concludes.
