While a noted immunologist is still recommending COVID shots for everyone, even though he admits they do not protect "overly well" against infection, a registered nurse offers a second opinion.

"One of the things that's clear from the data [is] that even though vaccines - because of the high degree of transmissibility of this virus - don't protect overly well against infection, they protect quite well against severe disease leading to hospitalization and death," Dr. Anthony Fauci recently told Neil Cavuto's "Your World" program on Fox News Channel.

Even though he tested positive for COVID last month, Fauci credits his being "vaccinated and boosted" for not "progressing to severe disease."

"My message to people who seem confused because people who are vaccinated get infected - the answer is if you weren't vaccinated, the likelihood is you would have had a more severe course than you did have when you were vaccinated," Fauci added.

Twila Brase, RN and president/co-founder of Citizens' Council for Health Freedom, thinks Fauci and the rest of the government "all knew that the so-called vaccines would not protect against infection," but in an attempt to get as many Americans vaccinated as possible, that is what they told people.

"The evidence is against all of their statements from the past, and so they're having to admit that the vaccines aren't really vaccines, and they don't do a really good job," Brase offers. "Of course, Fauci still says he thinks that it's preventing hospitalization and death, but we do know that plenty of people who have been vaccinated are now in the hospital, and some of them are dying, so I think that the government lied to us from the very beginning."

Now that the evidence is in, she says they are having to "couch their comments" and admit that the shots have not worked.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) did not respond to AFN's email asking how many people are in the hospital for and/or are dying from COVID despite having gotten COVID shots and/or boosters.

"There are lots of different reports out there about the number of people who are in the hospital who are vaccinated," comments Brase. "It's very hard to get the reports here in the United States, but lots of those reports are coming out of countries like England or Spain."

And based off of those numbers, she says the fact is many "fully vaccinated" individuals are suffering severe and/or life-threatening COVID infections.
