CNN shows the hypocrisy in their reporting over the years

The mainstream media has been very critical of ICE as it tries to carry out its job of arresting and deporting criminal illegal aliens from blue cities like Minneapolis. But AFN reports that, not long ago, it was a completely different story.

The tragic shooting death of protester Renee Good has both Minneapolis officials and the mainstream media singing from the same hymnal, imprecatory songs condemning ICE and the Trump administration. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is already trying to twist the narrative to fit the leftist agenda.

“They are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video of myself, I want to tell everybody directly. That is (expletive),” said Frey, according to Fox 9, a Minneapolis–Saint Paul’s television station.

CNN's coverage is no less biased. In fact, CNN was the example that J.D. Vance used when he criticized the media’s handling of the tragic incident, reported AFN. The title of one of CNN’s articles was “Outrage after ICE Officer Kills U.S. Citizen in Minneapolis.”

“That is the way that many people in the corporate media have put this attack over the last 24 hours, and I say attack very, very intentionally because this was an attack on federal law enforcement. This was an attack on law and order,” said Vance.

But social media sleuths have uncovered a CNN report from 2016, during the Obama administration. Reporters went on a ride along with ICE, and while perhaps no fans of the bureau, they at least were fair.

“We got three targets this morning. You know, some of the neighborhoods a little sketchy, so we got to make sure it's not just the target we're looking after but the people around us,” said Shawn Byers, supervisor of the ICE Fugitive Operations Teams.

ICE was carrying out the Obama deportation policy and agents were seen as doing a difficult job.

“They want to come out extra early, like right now, because they want to catch these people before they go to work. That's why it starts so early in the morning,” said CNN’s Pamala Brown.

Vazquez, Joseph (MRC) Vazquez

Joey Vazquez, associate editor at Media Research Center, says that the hypocrisy is so obvious.

“When Obama was in office, of course they're going to make it look like his immigration policy was just to defend the U.S. borders, but under Trump, they're going to try to make him out to be like some sort of a racist,” says Vazquez.
