Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters's office announced that an Oklahoma judge has granted Walters' motion to dismiss the History Standards lawsuit.
“Despite the outrage from woke liberals, Oklahoma students will learn the values and principles that shaped this country as they will be empowered to become critical thinkers in the classroom,” states the press release from Ryan Walters.
The lawsuit was an attempt to stop Walters' push to change education in the state. The change included adding the Bible and information regarding discrepancies the 2020 election into the curriculum.
This began when Walters sent a letter last year instructing schools in grades 5 through 12 to incorporate the Bible into the curriculum. He then assembled a team with the goal of repairing social studies standards within Oklahoma.
Walters spoke with AFN about this.
"We passed the greatest history standards in the country. We put God back in our history standards, Christianity. We put American exceptionalism back. Our kids are going to understand what makes America great,” Walters says.
After the new standards for social studies were passed in February, left-wing groups sued and brought the measures to court with accusation about the standards of the process.
However, their efforts were futile. District Judge Brent Dishman dismissed the lawsuit, stating there was no law broken when this year’s standards were approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Education.

“And yesterday, we had a judge come in and go there’s no issue here with the process. They followed everything to the letter of the law, so that puts our standards to go into effect,” Walters explains.
He called it a huge victory. After fighting against teachers unions, atheist groups, and satanist groups, they can more forward in teaching kids about the role Judeo-Christians values have in American history.
“The Bible is mentioned in our standards over several dozen times because, of course, the Bible played a major role in American history. And the left can be upset about it, they can be mad about it, but they can't rewrite our history. So, we're really excited that our students are going to get the best history education in the country,” Walters says.
He also said students will be taught about the 2020 election. Skepticism regarding voter fraud comes from people believing that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and the record amount of mail-in ballots
“You know, did Joe Biden win that election? Like how did that happen? We had over 36 states pass voter integrity laws after 2020. So, what we said is look, we're going to put all the information in front of students, and they can come to their own conclusion,” Walters states.
