Since it is no longer verboten to discuss Joe Biden’s declining ability to function as the U.S. president, a legal activist says it’s also fair to question if Biden is involved in making lifetime appointments to the federal bench.

Back in May, just two months ago, the U.S. Senate confirmed the 200th federal judge, Angela Martinez, whose nomination was supposedly sent to the Senate by Biden. That appointment was celebrated at the time by Sen. Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader, who called it a “major milestone” for the Biden administration.

“Simply put,” Schumer said in a statement, “our 200 judges comprise the most diverse slate of judicial nominations under any president in American history.”

Phillip Jauregui, of AFA  Action, says it’s fair to now ask if Biden deserves credit for participating in the “milestone” Schumer bragged about.

“We have a real question right now about the capacity of the President to function within the powers of his office,” Jauregui points out, referring to Democrats who suddenly questioned Biden’s age and abilities after his disastrous debate with Donald Trump.

“We can't be putting people on the federal bench for a lifetime,” Jauregui argues, “when we don't even know about the true capacity of the President right now.”

At the same time Jauregui is raising questions about President Biden and judicial nominations, Biden is now demanding “reforms” to the right-leaning U.S. Supreme Court that has angered Democrats with rulings that have hobbled their political power.

According to an Associated Press story, Biden is unveiling proposals this week to the nation’s highest court, such as term limits and an ethics code. The story also states, without question, that Biden penned an op-ed that published today, Monday, in The Washington Post.

“What is happening now is not normal,” Biden is ironically credited with writing, “and it undermines the public’s confidence in the court’s decisions, including those impacting personal freedoms. We now stand in a breach.”

Citing the two-step process of nomination and Senate confirmation, Jauregui has written a letter asking U.S. senators to pause any future judicial nominations during the remainder of Biden’s term. “The first step of that process is in constitutional jeopardy,” the letter states, “because evidence suggests the President lacks the mental capacity to exercise the powers of the Presidency.”
