New Yorkers, fired for refusing jab, reinstated by court order

After being fired for refusing the COVID-19 shot, more than 1,000 City of New York employees were informed by a judge Tuesday they deserve their jobs back.

The ruling by the New York State Supreme Court reinstated employees who were fired. It also ordered their former employer to give them backpay from their date of termination, Fox News reported.

The order, signed by Judge Ralph J. Porzio, found that “being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting COVID-19.”

New York City adopted a vaccine mandated under former mayor Bill de Blasio, and approximately 1,400 employees were fired, the Fox News story said.
