David Quintero has been a Spanish professor at Seattle Central College for 35 years according to the college's website. He is being investigated after one of his messages, saying that he "doesn't want Zionist Israelis" sitting next to him, have been brought to the light, reports The College Fix.
"Zionist Israelis with dual citizenship are looking for work all over The World and the USA. So, now we are going to have racist genocidal rapist killers sitting next to us? How do they pass the security background check?" wrote Quintero.
The matter is now under review by the District Compliance Office to determine what happens next. The investigation was prompted after Quintero’s colleague, Hana Gala, filed a complaint about him regarding his messages on a faculty conversation list server.
Adam Russell, a spokesperson for the college, said that because the matter is under review, he was "unable to comment on the process, findings, or any personnel-related matters."
Adam Guillete, president of Accuracy in Media (AIM), told The College Fix that even though the college says that they are running an investigation, they "simply want to sweep this issue under the rug."
AIM did take the message right to his front doorstep, utilizing a mobile billboard truck and driving around the college campus and Quintero's neighborhood.
Some of the people walking around his neighborhood had this to say: “Jeez, what an idiot. Whoever you are, you are an idiot. Well, he can quit. He does not have to work there.”
At another location, the AIM team did have somebody point out that the quote calls out "Zionists" and not Jews. Guillete was quick to respond, bringing one of the professor's old social media posts up, where Quintero states that "You can no longer separate Zionism and Judisim."
The passerby changed his tune as Guillete then asked if Quintero was a bad dude.
Passerby: “That statement is terrible, and I don't know him personally so I can't say, but yes.”
Guillete: “Well, based on this information, no bueno, you wouldn't be thrilled if your friend did that?”
Passerby: “I would not be thrilled if my friend did that.”
