College Fix rips grim event sponsored by major Southwest university

According to two professors at Arizona State University, the U.S. "hates women" and faces a future of "cannibalism and forced breeding."

At Arizona State University, two professors hosted an event in late August called "Jenny Irish's HATCH: A Speculative Future for Reproductive Rights." The free in-person/online event covered dismantling capitalism and electing a woman for president to restore reproductive rights, according to the College Fix. The two professors also warned of a "dystopian future" and more.

Matt Lamb, associate editor for The College Fix, points out comments from one of those professors, Dr. Angela Lober – who is a registered nurse and clinical research director in Phoenix.

Lamb, Matt (The College Fix) Lamb

"[Lober] said during the discussion she 'got into this space because the United States hates women and everything the female body does.' That's concerning," Lamb argues, "because she's training future medical professionals and nurses that America hates women – [which] is not a very good sign for the future of healthcare."

Lober's colleague Jenny Irish, an associate professor of English at ASU, said she has concerns that pro-life laws will lead to "forced breeding camps" and "cannibalism."

Lamb contends Irish's point "is that there's going to be so many kids that there won't be enough resources; and as a result, we're going to have to eat each other."

Overpopulation isn't a problem, says Lamb; but in fact, it's just the opposite.

"We actually have an underpopulation issue," he explains. "And secondly, this idea that people are a drain on resources has been debunked …. It astonishes me that decades after the population bomb was debunked, people still truly believe that this is happening."

Lamb laments this accurately reflects what's going on with higher education in America: "That this happened at an event with someone who's apparently a trained nursing professor is just astonishing."
