A 22-year-old woman who identified as a boy in her teen years has won $2 million in a lawsuit against New York doctors.
Responding to this on American Family Radio, Katy Faust of Them Before Us expressed hope that we'll see more of these lawsuits and settlements in the future.
"Sue them out of existence, and that is how we're going to see the trans madness end," said Faust. "Not because we made reasonable arguments or appealed to their medical oath. Apparently, it is going to be money and money alone that brings this madness to an end."
Faust has been a longtime critic and opponent of gender manipulation procedures. In a 2022 post on X, Faust said that children have a right to intact bodies, not chemically or surgically mutilated bodies.
"Start defending children," said Faust in that 2022 post.
At least 25 related cases have been filed since 2022. One of them involves Chloe Cole, another detransitioner, as it’s become known when one reclaims peace with one’s biological sex. Cole is being represented by Center for American Liberty in a case known as Chloe Cole v Kaiser Foundation Hospitals.
Meanwhile, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) has introduced federal legislation to ban chemical and surgical mutilation of children. Blackburn's bill is named the Chloe Cole Act.
Cole underwent a double mastectomy at 15 years old after being influenced by social media and leftist ideology. Now she has dedicated her life to protecting children from harmful gender-manipulation procedures, Blackburn’s news release states.
The Chloe Cole Act would:
-- Prohibit physicians, clinics, and hospitals from participating in chemical or surgical mutilation of minors;
-- Define sex as biological fact, not a political label;
-- Provide a private right of action for children and the parents of children whose healthy body parts have been damaged by medical professionals practicing chemical and surgical mutilation; and
-- Include a lengthy statute of limitations for victims of chemical or surgical mutilation.
"No child should be pushed into doing irreversible damage to their body under the guise of ‘care,’” said Blackburn in a post on X.
