British porn star says she’s turned to the Lord but won’t turn away from career

An Only Fans porn star says she's been baptized and is now a Christian. There's only one caveat: she says she's not giving up her day job.

Lily Phillips has tried her best to stand out as a porn star, bragging of record-breaking sexual exploits that she was more than happy to share on her Only Fans page.

Phillips, a British social media influencer with 1.5 million followers, tells The Christian Post that in late December she was rebaptized, saying she wants to, “reinstate her relationship with God."

She goes on to tell The Post, though, that she doesn't plan on quitting (her porn) job anytime soon, and that she's blazing her own spiritual path.

Alex McFarland of Exploring the Word on AFR says that’s not how a relationship with God comes about.

“She indicates that her creation and sale of pornography doesn't have to stop and that she doesn't have to measure up to anyone's standards.”

But McFarland says if she wants to be a Christian she does have to measure up to God's standards.

“There's a danger in conflating grace with license. God is a God of grace and he forgives our sin, but we are called to repent.”

McFarland says Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well is instructive at this point.

“When Jesus told the woman, go and sin no more, it meant there was to be a change of life.”

McFarland says the Bible restricts all sexual activity to within the covenant of marriage – meaning an Only Fans page is off the table.

“I pray that Lily Phillips will truly meet Jesus, who is not just forgiver, but he is Lord.”
