More mosques, more missions

A Baptist pastor sees the growing number of Muslims in the U.S. as a growing opportunity.

"Demographic jihad" involves Muslims moving to a certain city and having babies at a much greater rate than their peers of any faith. The goal is to overwhelm the area and claim it for Allah.

That may be happening in Dallas, where there are at least 72 mosques and an additional 12 so-called prayer spaces for the 30,000 Muslims who call the city home.

Jeffress, Rev. Robert (FBC Dallas) Jeffress

"Islam is a false religion," asserts Dr. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas. "It is founded by a fake prophet who wrote a fake book called the Quran and offers a fake way of salvation."

Still, local law enforcement is discouraged from entering a few Muslim majority communities in the U.S. where Sharia is practiced in spirit, if not in law. They are called "no- go zones."

Jeffress does not have an issue with Muslims, but he does not think police should be abandoning any ground.

"Let's be clear: there's no such thing as a no-go zone, regardless of what Muslims say," he tells AFN. "There's no square inch of United States territory that is exempt from the laws of the United States – or, in our case, the laws of Texas."

Jeffress is not preparing his congregation for war, but for witness.

"These mosques just represent more missionary territory for us to share the gospel in," the pastor asserts.

He says First Baptist regularly offers evangelism classes that focus on sharing the gospel with Muslims, and it is paying off.

"The gospel of Jesus Christ is powerful. It is able to convict people and bring them to salvation, and we've had many, many Muslims who have come to faith in Christ through the witness of our church," Jeffress reports.
