A petition urging families to "say no to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" has quickly gained traction.

Monica Cole of One Million Moms, the organization behind the petition, says it has over 29,000 signatures already, "and it's quickly picking up momentum."

As AFN has reported, the issue is the scheduled appearance of non-binary and transgender performers in the parade, which is to be aired Thanksgiving Day on NBC.

"Conservatives have signed urging Macy's to no longer push this LGBTQ agenda under the disguise of entertainment," says Cole. "We know that these conservative families are being left with no other choice than to not watch this parade and no longer patronize their stores even during, and especially during, the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season."

"I do not agree with the LGBTQ agenda you are pushing on families during your Thanksgiving Day Parade," the petition reads. "My family and I will not watch this indoctrination. Since this event goes against our beliefs and values, Macy's has left conservative and Christian families with no choice but to avoid the parade and its stores, even during the holiday season. My family will not support Macy’s; you have lost our trust."

The number of petition signatures has more than doubled in less than a week, and the effort has captured the attention of conservative news outlets and the mainstream media alike.

"We have received numerous interview requests that I have gotten lined up for the rest of the week because the individual social media coverage has increased as well to warn parents of the indoctrination," Cole details. "This is one of those campaigns that is picking up momentum because it is potentially going to expose viewers to this liberal nonsense."

In addition to joining this campaign, she encourages concerned conservatives to peruse and consider One Million Moms' similar petitions against Vitaminwater and Snickers, among others.
