Trump admin. was bold about the reason for the season

A conservative activist is thankful for leaders who proclaim the name of Jesus.

In the official White House Christmas message released on December 25, 2025, President Donald Trump said, "The First Lady and I send our warmest wishes to all Americans as we share in the joy of Christmas Day and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

Likewise, other top administration officials went beyond saying "Merry Christmas" by also regarding Jesus as the reason for the season.

"The joyous message of Christmas is the hope of Eternal Life through Christ," Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted from his official State Department account on X. "Wishing everyone a blessed holiday season filled with hope and peace."

“Today we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ," Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted on X and Facebook. "May his light bring peace, hope, and joy to you and your families. Merry Christmas."

Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, also explicitly mentioned Jesus:

"Merry Christmas and aloha from our family to yours," she posted online. "May we spend this day and every day remembering Jesus Christ and following his message to us all: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart… and love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Bauer, Gary (American Values) Bauer

Gary Bauer of the Campaign for Working Families says that starkly contrasts Joe Biden's 2022 message, for example, that emphasized universal themes like hope, love, peace, and joy and referred to the "child Christians believe to be the Son of God" instead of mentioning Jesus by name.

He says Trump and his folks are not afraid of violating the Left's misinterpretation of the First Amendment as so-called separation of church and state.

"They have a right to be open about their Christian beliefs," Bauer insists. "They have a right to wish people a Merry Christmas and to celebrate the birth of the baby that splits history in two."

Bauer is thankful that the Trump administration includes so many believers, and he thinks that should make everyone in America "feel better, not worse about what's going to happen in the years ahead."
