Buddy Smith, Walker Wildmon, Wesley Wildmon, Debbie Wuthnow, and Jenna Ellis will be reading from Micah 5 through Zechariah 6 on behalf of AFA.
Smith is vice president emeritus. The Wildmon brothers are vice presidents. Wuthnow oversees iVoterGuide, and Ellis is senior public policy adviser.
"When I was asked to be part of it, the first thing I thought of was ‘absolutely’," Wesley Wildmon told AFN.
Dr. Alex McFarland, co-host of American Family Radio (AFR)'s "Exploring the Word," read earlier this week on Wednesday. McFarland read Nehemiah 11-12.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump read 2 Chronicles 7:11-22 in a video message from the Oval Office.
There is a livestream available on the website for americareadsthebible.com. Organizer Bunni Pounds has encouraged people to watch at home, in their office, in their church, etc.
Meanwhile, Walker Wildmon encourages people to begin reading the Bible if they are not already studying scripture.
"It's never too late to start reading God's word. It's never too late to start reading God's word. It's never too late to begin applying God's word to our lives," said Wildmon. "This is just one more reminder, especially for those that are new to this or maybe they've always wanted to but for different reasons they've procrastinated. So, this is an opportunity for individuals that have never done that before."
