A popular evangelical pastor is challenging the church to call out liberal politicians when they misuse the Bible for political gain.

Texas Democrat senate candidate James Talarico wraps himself in the Christian faith, but misquotes and twists the Bible to support his very unbiblical political policies – like support for abortion.

“I say all this in context of abortion because before God comes over Mary, and we have the Incarnation, God asks for Mary's consent,” said Talarico on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

AFN reported previously on Talarico’s mishandling of Scripture, calling him a “knight in tainted armor.” Part of his campaign effort is to “rescue” Christianity from conservatives.

Pastor Allen Jackson has a program called “Allen Jackson Ministries” that airs in the evenings on AFR. He has been the senior pastor of World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, since 1989, and the "little country church" he serves has grown from less than 30 to over 15,000 people.

The Christian Post reported on Jackson's comments calling out Talarico. He says Talarico is being given a pass by a complicit and supportive media.

“If you hold views that are left of center and you express those at the public square from a religious background, you are celebrated,” states Jackson.

Talarico wants to pass liberal laws modeled after his twisted view of Scripture.

“Where are the labels of Christian nationalists for Talarico? He's hiding behind religious language to make him more appealing to the electorate,” says Jackson.

Support for abortion, homosexuality, transgenderism, open borders, there isn't a far-left policy he does not support, and he uses his version of the Bible to justify it.

“It's not a subtle theme. You have to do theological gymnastics to come out with a theology that says we have the right to terminate life,” states Jackson.

Pastor Jacksons says it's time for Christians to stand up and call out his heresy.

“It's a false church, it's not orthodox, and we're going to have to have the courage to make those distinctions. We have been polite for too long. We're going to have to have the courage within the church to say there's a false church that exists and be willing to call it out,” says Jackson.
