A conservative think tank says the Walton family is peddling more than merchandise at their many Walmart stores.

According to The Heritage Foundation's research, second- and third-generation heirs of Walmart founder Sam Walton have funneled millions of dollars into LGBTQ-related initiatives in their home state of Arkansas.

"They've also been a key part of the push to overturn, to strike down the Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act, which is a bill that would protect minors from mutilating, often irreversible sex reassignment surgery," details Gillian Richards, a research associate for The Heritage Foundation.

Sam Walton's daughter, Alice, and his grandson, Tom, seem to have played a key role in funding these initiatives.

"They started the Arkansas LGBTQ Advancement Fund back in 2021," Richards reports. "That was a million-dollar fund which allocated money to various groups such as the Equality Crew, which has hosted drag story hours [and] drag shows for kids, for adolescents."

That is just one example of the many activities the Waltons have been funding. Richards hopes that shining light on it will compel other members of the Walton family to take note and reel in the more liberal ones who seem to be indulging in their own pet projects.
