Markell: Communists are fulfilling their mission in Minnesota

The head of a Minneapolis-based Christian ministry suspects leftists are responsible for a recent act of political terrorism.

Federal authorities in Minnesota are investigating a suspected arson fire that happened Sunday, January 28 in the Minneapolis suburb of Golden Valley at the offices of the Center for the American Experiment, the Upper Midwest Law Center, and TakeCharge. All three conservative groups share a building with several other businesses.

Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, finds the incident to be very suspicious.

"100 years ago, the American Communist Party targeted several parts of my area," she notes. "They targeted the Twin Cities, actually all of Minnesota, and they targeted, I believe, Chicago and then parts of Wisconsin. Their goal at that time … was indeed to turn parts of my home state … absolutely communist red. And I think they're very close to succeeding."

Markell says the Twin Cities are now totally taken over by "communists and Islam."

"That's who runs this part of our state of Minnesota. So, personally, I would think it would be leftists who've done this," she submits. "These organizations that were harmed so seriously are very effective outfits here in Minnesota … particularly the one that's trying to help black families."

Authorities have not announced any arrests or a potential motive, but to Markell, it was "obviously an attack of evil versus good."
