'Solid man of faith' set to encourage this year's marchers

The founder of a news agency devoted to reporting news that affects the pro-life community is especially excited about one of the main speakers at the world's largest pro-life event, which is taking place later this month.

Pro-lifers are still celebrating the overturn of Roe v. Wade, and Steven Ertelt of LifeNews.com says the 2023 March for Life is going to be "amazing" with NFL Hall of Fame Coach Tony Dungy headlining the events.

"He is a stellar pro-life Christian," Ertelt says of Dungy. "He's adopted eight children, he has put his pro-life views into practice, [and] he's a solid man of faith who wants to obey the pro-life teachings, the biblical teachings of life and support that and put that into practice every day. I'm excited to hear what he has to say."

In October, when it was announced that Dungy would be speaking at the 50th annual March for Life, Dungy made headlines for tweeting Matthew 25:45 and saying he is "just doing what the Lord asked us to do."

Months earlier, Dungy took on pro-abortion Senator/Pastor Raphael Warnock (GA), saying, "It all comes down to what you believe about the organism growing inside the mother. Is it a life or not? If it is just growing tissue then your 'choice' makes sense. If it's a life then it's obviously not OK to choose to end it. What does your Bible tell you it is? Psalm 139:16"

That was a response to Warnock's May 3rd tweet that read, "As a pro-choice pastor, I've always believed that a patient's room is way too small for a woman, her doctor, and the United States government. I'll always fight to protect a woman's right to choose. And that will never change."

This, says Ertelt, is why pro-lifers are encouraged by Dungy.

"He's a man who loves Jesus, and he's going to have a great, positive message about life," Ertelt asserts. "He's a great man. He's respected by so many in the NFL world and the sports community, and it's great to see him standing for life and bringing that message to millions of people across the country."

The national March for Life is scheduled to run from Wednesday, January 18th – Friday, January 20th. Jonathan Roumie, who is best known for his award-winning role as Jesus in the series, "The Chosen," is also on the lineup. Anyone who cannot physically attend will have access to the speeches online.
